 Disaster Recovery - Mainframe z/OS

GFS/AFM - Advanced File Manager

It is the most advanced Tape Library Manager for z/OS systems. Fast, simple, reliable and conceptually superior to its competitors, the product minimizes the tape management effort while maximizing the data protection and optimizing the tape reclaim cycle.

 GFS/Stack - Automatic Multi-File

It is the only real-time stacking product available in the market, implementing multi-file / multi-volume tape sets during file allocation time. It does not require any JCL changes and the data is recorded in non-proprietary Standard Label Format. It solves the problems caused by magnetic tape storage capacity underuse, completely eliminating resource waste at the tape library.

GFS/SOM - Storage Optimization Manager

It allows writing to disk the files that would originally have been written to magnetic tapes. This mechanism is totally transparent to production and releases processing capacity and time to execute critical tasks. Later, when it is more convenient for production, the files are then released or moved to tapes in an optimized manner, taking full advantage of their storage capacity.

ASAP

Enables an efficient and automated process for critical dataset identification and application change tracking. It guarantees that all critical datasets for Disaster Recovery, and only the critical datasets, will be backed up to be used in case of contingency.

ABARS Manager

Assures the security and efficiency of Backup/Recovery operations. Optimizes contingency processes to DFSMShsm/ABARS, making them more powerful, simpler and easier to use and also media and location independent.

ALL/Star

It intercepts and inventories all z/OS backups without requiring any JCL changes. It allows to quickly find and restore the datasets and their backups. The product also identifies the critical datasets that for any reason do not have a backup.

Catalog BaseLine

Redefines the catalogs structure of the production environment by recreating all ICF Catalogs, GDG Bases and aliases to other sites or partitions in case of data recovery or mirroring. It supports the "empty catalog methodology" for Disaster Recovery.
